Three steps. Your ears decide.
Play a few seconds.
Knobpilot measures the audio passing through its rack: level, tone, dynamics.
Say what you want.
“Warmer”, “glue the bus”, “less harsh”. It loads plugins you own and sets them, or adjusts the chain you have.
Compare.
It measures again and tells you what changed. Switch between Original, Previous and Current at matched loudness, then refine it or revert.
Tighter low end, leave room for the kick
A steadier low end with more room for the kick.
Two gentle EQ cuts and Pro-MB's Tighter Lows preset take some weight out of the low mids. Check it against the kick.

Is there an AI tool that can mix music?
Yes. Knobpilot is an AI mixing plugin: you describe a sound on any track, bus or the master, and it builds and sets a chain from the AU and VST3 plugins you own. You listen and decide. How a run works.
Can ChatGPT mix my song?
A general chatbot can suggest settings, but it can’t measure your track or turn the knobs in your DAW. Knobpilot’s assistant works inside the plugin. It measures the audio passing through the rack (level, tone, dynamics), changes the settings of the plugins in the rack, and lists every change so you can compare or undo it.
What is a vocal chain, and does Knobpilot build one?
A vocal chain is the set of effects a vocal passes through, in order: usually EQ, compression, de-essing, saturation, then reverb and delay. Knobpilot builds one from your installed plugins when you describe the vocal you want, sets each plugin, and shows the settings, so you can learn from it or change it by hand.
What order should my vocal chain be in?
A common starting order is corrective EQ, compression, de-esser, tone EQ and saturation, with reverb and delay last. The right order depends on the source and the sound you want. Knobpilot chooses an order for the request, and you can ask it to move a plugin to another slot.
Does it work on any track, or only vocals?
Any track or bus, and the master: vocals, drums, a drum bus, bass, guitars, synths, keys. It controls the plugins inside its own rack (up to sixteen), not the other inserts, faders or sends in your DAW.
Does it work with Logic’s stock plugins?
No. Logic’s built-in effects can’t be loaded inside another plugin. Knobpilot hosts separately installed AU and VST3 effects; your stock plugins can stay elsewhere in the channel strip. See the Logic Pro workflow.
Is it an alternative to iZotope Neutron’s Mix Assistant?
It solves a similar problem differently. Neutron’s Mix Assistant sets up Neutron’s own modules. Knobpilot sets third-party plugins you already own and shows each change. Knobpilot vs Neutron and other AI mixing tools.
Does Knobpilot generate music or audio?
No. It doesn’t create songs, voices or samples. It sets effect plugins on audio you recorded, and the sound comes from those plugins.
Is my audio uploaded?
No. Audio is processed on your computer. AI requests send your message, recent chat context, plugin names, settings and measurements to the Knobpilot service and its AI provider. Read the data details.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Your existing chains and manual controls keep working. Activation and new AI requests need internet access, and AI also needs a plan or trial with credits left.
How does the free trial work, and what does it cost after?
Install Knobpilot, open the account dialog in the plugin and choose the free trial: 14 days and 100 AI credits on that computer, no card. After that it’s $15 a month with 3,000 AI credits. A chain build typically uses 3 to 10 credits, and a correction 1 to 3. Pricing details.
Does it work on Windows, in Ableton Live or in FL Studio?
Yes. On a Mac it works in any DAW that loads AU or VST3 plugins, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig. On Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) it is a VST3 plugin for any VST3 host; we test it in REAPER. Pro Tools (AAX) isn’t supported. System requirements and formats.
